Blissful Bangkok

It is my first trip out of the country and its kinda nerve wracking not to mention we don’t know what to expect and what can happen on our trip. We arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport past midnight so we have no choice but to take a taxi, which cost as around 500 Baht.

After 30 minutes of travel, we arrived at Hotel de Bangkok located at Ratchaprarop Road in Ratchathewi. It’s near Pratunam, which is also a popular place to visit.

They are the ones to greet you. Cute!

We stayed here for 3 nights for only 2,997 Baht. Now that’s a steal!

Clean bathroom with a bath tub. What more can you ask for?

We immediately rest after checking in and decided to sleep for three hours before we went to our first destination, the Floating Market. I’m telling you, you have to allot a day for this tour as it will take you 2-3 hours travel time just to reach there. My friend and I paid 1000 Baht each for a private boat.

So many gold! 🙂

We were hungry so we decided to go back to Ratchathewi and look for something to eat but lo and behold it took us another 3 hours to get there plus a bad weather as a bonus. At this point I thought that this whole trip will suck. We’re definitely not in the right track of our itinerary and this bad weather is also contributing to it. Finally after eating our lunch/dinner at the Century The Movie Plaza in Phaya Thai Road the rain suddenly stopped so we decided to go to Khaosan Road.

BTS Sky Train

We rode the BTS Sky Train.

Sawasdee!

So much for today so we went back to the hotel and call it a day because tomorrow will be another day. We need to wake up early to do shopping at the Pratunam market. Will tell you what happened on the second day of our Bangkok trip on my next post. See you then! 🙂
