One day, we just decided to go to Johor Bahru in Malaysia for an overnight stay. It is my first time to travel to Malaysia from Singapore, but not really my first time to go there. And the memories are still quite painful, why? Read my post Mesmerizing Malaysia.
That time, we were staying around Toa Payoh so we just rode the North-South Line and alight at Woodlands station. We looked for the Bus Interchange just below Woodlands MRT station.
The queue was quite long but the interval of the buses won’t take more than 10 minutes, that was our experience.
But first you need to exit at the Singapore immigration. So after 15 minutes, you need to alight the bus, passed by the immigration, and then rode the same bus number again.
After 10 minutes more, you’ll passed by a bridge and the bus will drop you at the CIQ of Johor Bahru or Johor Bahru Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine Complex.
As you may notice the travel time is quick, that’s not true with the time you need to spend at the immigration before entering Malaysia. It took us 45 minutes just to passed by it and we only got lucky we queue at the right lane. My pick! 🙂
My tip: Queue at the one in between the front counters , sorry I forgot if its odd or even numbers. 😦
The next day, we rode the same Bus number to go back to Singapore. 🙂
